Bad weather. Bed weather. As much as I’m tempted to enchant you with words and add a sense of whimsy to a sick and gloomy weather, I can’t fully bring myself to such task. All I could think of now is the hot lemon water beside my bed and the latter’s old white sheets inviting me to cozy up to it while ruminating on some unproductive thoughts.
But let’s forget the above paragraph’s scenario, let’s live momentarily on the irony of things and dance our troubles away clad in everything gold and shimmery. An instinctual ode to pursue the ethereal and spark-worthy moments in our lives despite everything that contradicts such.
Case in point, I chose to pirouette around the little courtyard of El Jardin de la Luz, basking in the gentle sun and the place’s alfresco glory, while being totally oblivious to the fact that there was an ongoing site construction. Picture repair men running back and forth from their toolbox, occasionally tripping over scattered wires and muttering loads of profanity along the way. Not a lovely sight but they just seem to be equally beguiled as I was with my skirt’s gold yoryu sequin actions too. So, they’re gladly forgiven. Those boys.
So I swayed, twirled and jumped, without an apt music in the background to justify my actions before the very eyes of an unexpected audience.
But you should never let an army of eyes stop you from seeing the beauty of a certain moment.
We gotta do, what we gotta do to stay happy and sane.
