To be “a hail on a window pane, a swallow’s cry, a black cigar smoked by a dreamer, thunderous applause.” That, I am after.
One might ask, why is she all dressed up like those gypsies from the land of Andalucia? The ones who dance with unbridled vigour and fierce rhythmic stomping of feet accompanied by the graceful and expressive swaying of arms.
Why, you ask?
Because, contrary to most of my looks, this wasn‘t a complete product of utter spontaneity.
Worn during my birthday, I’d purposely taken a reasonable amount of time on this ensemble on the sole intention of defining the ideal woman that I aspire to be for years to come.
Yes, a Flamenco dancer!
Kidding! And as if!
Those multiple layers of ruffles and bold colours, certainly are tempting, but it’s the lively spirit and ineffable charm of those dancers that I‘m actually drawn to. I want to be a Carmen Amaya in a world filled with inappropriate bottom twerking.
Given, there’s a difference in the medium of expression, but the same artistic desire to be of great impact to others; to be “a hail on a window pane, a swallow’s cry, a black cigar smoked by a dreamer, thunderous applause.” That, I am after.
Yet, should those things be a bit ambitious and thus remain unaccomplished, I would still gladly settle my heart on my personal pursuit of what a woman should be.
Free. Passionate. And unapologetically brazen.
Those are some serious enough goals right there, am I right?
