“But there are just those days when our body’s sensory judgment and sartorial stubbornness defy the environment’s temperature.”

Case in point: wearing a tight black long sleeve turtleneck over a satin dress, certainly didn’t pass your holy list of summer essentials. Neither did it capture those ice cream vendors’ sweet approvals. Or so I thought.
Whilst looking for a place, I was offered such frozen delights, by three different sorbeteros! Thrice, my dear. ‘Cause who damn does layering in Summer? They probably wondered then.
Politely, I just shook my head in refusal and flashed each of them a big grin. And they smiled in return, besides their obvious acknowledgment of my rejection, I’d like to think that they also sensed how incredibly comfortable I was with this ensemble despite that sweltering afternoon of April and a cold dairy wouldn’t make much of a difference. So their smiles provided a stamp of approval in a whole new degree of style affirmation.
Because I did feel at ease! And you should always bear in mind that comfortability must always prevail against vanity. Always.
